About us

FLUX is backed-up by more than 40 years of experience in the field of Position Feedback Encoder Systems.
Having spent many decades designing and manufacturing position encoders utilizing magnetic, inductive, and optical technologies, the founders of FLUX realized that a better technology was required for rotary and linear motion measurement. In 2017, FLUX GmbH was founded and marked the beginning of an exciting and successful journey.

With its headquarters located in Braunau am Inn, Austria, FLUX also offers its customers a worldwide network of experienced distributors and sales partners in the field of encoder technology.

Interdisciplinary Expertise

FLUX is backed up by engineers with extensive interdisciplinary experiences including expertise in technology research, analog-digital hardware, firmware, and mechanical designs.
Seeing the importance of constantly staying one step ahead, we have assembled a unique team of highly motivated, innovative engineers who are continuously exploring the limits of what is possible, regardless of the challenges they face.

Innovative Technologies

The FLUX team’s extensive know-how and innovative spirit led to the development of the patented GMI® technology. The extended performance and unique characteristics of FLUX GMI® encoders contribute to their flexibility, ease of integration, and added value in the field of close-loop motion systems in a wide range of high-performance applications.

Additionally to the GMI® technology, FLUX has developed a patent pending Inductive technology which allows for compactness without sacrificing performance.

Best Practice

Using new innovative technologies, FLUX and its GMI® technology offer significant performance improvements for drive systems in both speed and positioning.

Flexibility

Encoder technology from FLUX is specifically designed to meet the needs of individual users by providing integrated and, therefore, flexible solutions to enhance the experience of the customer and generate additional value for a wide range of applications.

Versatility

FLUX provides high accuracy measuring technology in different technical designs to ensure performance and robustness as well as functionality for any area of the workspace, regardless of environmental influences.
“The fast pace of technical progress and constantly changing framework conditions call for high flexibility. By using FLUX encoders, we guarantee our customers maximum adaptability and reliability while providing added value through superior technical performance.”
